# ListingPilot

> Turn a product into a resale listing. Publishes a real live listing to your own eBay account.

ListingPilot writes a marketplace listing from the product and footage already in Igloo,
then publishes it to eBay for you.

<Warning>
  This one spends money and publishes publicly. When eBay is connected in live mode,
  pressing publish creates a **real listing on your own eBay account**, visible to
  buyers, subject to eBay's fees. Read the confirmation screen before confirming.
</Warning>

## What it produces

* An eBay title, description, and notes about included accessories.
* Up to six photos taken from your video footage.
* A Facebook Marketplace packet, formatted for you to copy and paste.

## eBay: connected for real

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect your eBay account">
    You are sent to eBay to sign in and approve access. Guino never sees your eBay
    password.

    <Note>
      Connecting only **reads** your existing eBay business policies. It does not create
      or change anything on your account.
    </Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your business policies">
    eBay requires a payment, shipping, and returns policy on every listing. If you do
    not already have them, Guino can create a starter set for you, but this is a
    separate action you have to choose.

    Guino's defaults are **free shipping** and **no returns**. Those are your commercial
    terms and your money, which is why Guino will not set them silently. Change them in
    eBay if they do not suit you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the listing">
    Guino writes the title, description, and accessory notes from your product details
    and footage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm, then publish">
    You get a confirmation step showing the title, price, condition, and photos before
    anything goes live. Publishing uploads your photos to eBay, creates the item and the
    offer, and publishes it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Every listing you publish is recorded against that product in Igloo, so you can see what
you have already listed.

## Facebook Marketplace

Guino writes the listing text and formats it for you, and you paste it into Facebook
yourself. Facebook does not offer a way for tools like Guino to post on a seller's
behalf, so there is nothing to connect. This one is manual by design and will stay that
way until Meta changes it.

## Limits

Publishing counts against a monthly listing allowance set by your plan. See
[Plans and billing](/start/plans-and-billing).

## Before your first live listing

<Note>
  Treat your first run as a test. Check the generated title and category on the
  confirmation screen carefully rather than confirming straight through, and price it
  deliberately. It is far easier to check a listing before it is public than to fix one
  after a buyer has seen it.
