# Plans and billing

> What Free includes, what the paid plans add, and how to change plan.

Every new account starts on Free. Paid plans are Creator, Pro, and Scale.

<Info>
  Prices and the current plan list live on [guino.app/pricing](https://guino.app/pricing).
  That page is the source of truth. If it disagrees with this one, believe it.
</Info>

## Free

Free is a real working account, not a locked demo. You can:

* Import one video, once. This is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one, so it does
  not reset.
* Run the complete ContentPilot pipeline on it: extract, transcribe, screenshots, and a
  full generated article.
* Edit everything in Guino Studio.
* Store up to 2 GB in Igloo.

What Free cannot do:

* **Publish.** The Publish button is replaced by an upgrade prompt. Your draft is kept.
* **Have a public creator profile.** Your public address does not resolve while you are
  on Free.

<Note>
  Nothing is deleted when you hit the Free limit. Your video, transcript, screenshots,
  and edited draft stay in your account. Upgrading unlocks publishing and your existing
  draft publishes as it is.
</Note>

## How limits are counted

The units that matter are **projects**, **review pages**, **clip packs**, and
**listing packets**. Not video minutes.

Video length limits exist, but they are a fair use ceiling on any single upload rather
than a pool you spend down. A ten minute video does not consume ten of anything.

## Changing plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Plan and Billing">
    Find it in the sidebar. It shows your current plan and usage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upgrade, or manage an existing subscription">
    Upgrading opens Stripe Checkout. If you already subscribe, the billing portal is
    where you change plan, update your card, download invoices, or cancel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait a moment for it to apply">
    Your new plan applies once Stripe confirms the payment. This is usually immediate.
    If the app still shows the old plan after a minute, reload the page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Storage

Igloo storage is capped at 2 GB on Free. Storage is counted across your videos, audio,
screenshots, and exports. Igloo shows the breakdown by category so you can see what is
taking room. See [Igloo](/pilots/igloo).
